The carat book club is a place for carats that happen to also be bookworms or simply enjoy to read books once in a while - and want to do so while sharing their experiences with others. We will be reading a book each month and either discuss the book or simply talk about things we liked and disliked. We also will be talking about anything Seventeen related.Will I have to read the book even if I’m not interested?
Don’t worry! You’re welcome to join even if you don’t want to read the book each month. However there are opportunities to get your choice of the book selected!Which language will the book club be held in? Is there a phyiscal meetup?
The book club will be communicating in English, but depending on where our members are from we also can always have threads for other languages. There is no physical meetup as this is a worldwide book club, but if the members would be interested we always can do talk meetups on discord once a month.
GUIDELINES
WANT TO SUGGEST A BOOK ?
at the end of every month we will open book submissions,
this is based on first come first served, do not spam the chat with suggestions. allow everyone to be heard
If able to, all submissions be posted with any trigger warnings for (but not limited to) self harm, suicide, death, heavy smut, excessive vulgar language, sexual activities.
let's be mindful of everyone in the club
All series suggestions must start with first book
do not expect next book in series to be picked for the following month, admin and mods will discuss if to continue the series based on feedback of the first book
WANT TO VOTE FOR A BOOK/GENRE ?
Book club members are allowed to vote for their choice of book and/or genre a total of FOUR times.
this is based purely on the honor code since we do not ask for emails or able to track who votes for what
